WISCONSIN DOWNPAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS
STATEWIDE PROGRAMS
Capital Access Advantage Program
Assistance Available:
The Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority (WHEDA) administers the Capital Access Advantage Program which allows qualified borrowers to get assistance with downpayment and closing costs.
These are zero interest second mortgages that are deferred until the first mortgage is paid in full. You qualify for the Capital Access Advantage Program at the same time you are qualifying for a WHEDA Advantage first mortgage.
Qualifications:
You must use a WHEDA Advantage mortgage. The income and purchase price limits vary according to the county in which the property is located. For a limited time WHRDA has waived the high housing needs restriction.
